From trash to art - pepal axd edition is a relief painting using mixed media, made entirely from reusable materials, with aluminium from used espresso capsules as the dominant element.
The sunflower vase theme is inspired by the famous painting "Sunflowers" by Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh.
The materials used are:

aluminium from espresso capsules

aluminium from a soda can

pictures from free press magazine

cardboard from a packing carton (from a box containing a shelf)

Also, at the bottom right of the frame there is a small Braille sign with the word "Heliotropia". The sign was also made from aluminum soft drink packaging.
The contents of the capsules (the coffee) became a nice and nutritious fertilizer for the plants in our schoolyard.
