The idea for the dress was born from the observation that the youth of today follows fashion. Most young people draw inspiration from trends and create their own personal style. So, the students of the 2nd EPAL Agrinio thought that an effective way to promote recycling would be to create fashionable clothes from recyclable materials.
They were constantly looking for new designs and ideas, while their basic rule was to use only materials they already had, without any additional costs. They wanted to show in practice how beautiful things can be created from objects that are considered "useless".
They started by gathering materials that each of them had. One member of the group had old CDs, which they used to create the corset. They used plastic wrap and paper tape as the base and added ribbon to tie it together. Every element of the dress is truly recycled, from the bags to the fabric inside.
With creativity, imagination and team effort, they managed to turn recyclable materials into an impressive garment, proving that sustainability can be combined with style.
