On October 21, Komotini welcomed the 2nd Multimedia Mobile Exhibition “ZeroWaste: creating a sustainable future through art”, which is hosted at the "ZeroWaste" exhibition centre in the city of Komotini.The famous Concert Hall of Komotini.
The action is carried out by Synapseis AMKE, in cooperation with Eco Active Komotini and the Regional Directorate of Education of the Region of Komotini, under the auspices of the Regional Unit of Rodopi, with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and the sponsorship of the Sunlight Group.
Students from the 2nd EPAL Komotini, the 2nd High School of Komotini and the 4th High School of Komotini visited the exhibition, participating in experiential activities that combine art with environmental awareness. Among the exhibits that gained their interest, the interactive chess, the work of students from the 1st EPAL Alexandroupolis, stood out, which came to life through the play of the students themselves.
The exhibition presents 51 works by students from all over Greece, creations of the national competition ZeroWaste Hackers, which creatively approach issues of recycling, circular economy and sustainability.
It was with great pleasure that we welcomed Mr. Nakos Spyros, representative of Sunlight Group, for his significant help in the creation of the multimedia video and for his constant support in the implementation of the whole project.
The event was also honored with the presence of Mrs. Natassa Liveriadou, Deputy Mayor of Culture and Youth of the Municipality of Komotini, as well as Mrs. Marigoula Kosmidou, Deputy Regional Director of Education of the Region of Komotini, who was a valuable supporter throughout the effort.
In addition, we would like to thank Mrs. Kayopoulou Grammata, Director of Secondary Education of Rodopi, and Mr. George Pagozidis, Head of School Activities of the Primary Education Directorate of Rodopi, for their cooperation and support to the action.
Finally, we would like to thank the Komotini Concert Hall for its hospitality and its essential contribution to the dissemination of the messages of sustainability and student creativity.
