On 26 February, students will participate in tree planting at the Panthraki Stadium, enhancing a space for wellness and sport.
Students will scan and adopt the trees, giving them a name and fostering responsibility and care. This platform was piloted in the first action at the Panthraki Stadium, where 300 trees were adopted, offering children a powerful participation experience.
The initiative was launched by the Rodopi Runners, with the support of Eco Active, through the action "I grow #together with my tree", in the framework of the zEEROwASTERs project funded by the Green Fund.
Η interaction fosters empathy, as students experience the importance of caring for a living organism. They feel responsibility and understand the impact of their actions on nature. At the same time, such actions promote active participation, encouraging students to take action to protect the environment and develop ecological awareness.
The Zerowasters of the 2nd EPAL prove that change starts with hands-on experience, knowledge and love for the planet.
