Students as Leaders in Environmental Change: The Pathway to Zero Wasting

In the framework of the sub-project "P.1.3.1 Awareness Seminar/Experiential Workshop", students took the role of the "CEO" of environmental change, participating in four experiential workshops on zero wasting. Each workshop lasted four school hours and was designed in a more friendly and accessible way to young people, encouraging them to act as leaders in protecting the environment.

The students were divided into groups and were informed about ways of pollution, renewable energy sources, and ways of protecting the environment both at school and at home, and in the wider society. In each workshop, model ways of zero wasting were presented, which the students discussed, challenged and then developed their own innovative ideas.

After the group discussions were completed, the students were given the task of creating dynamic presentations in which they expressed their views, each time analysing a specific aspect of zero wasting. This gave them the opportunity to take an active role and become true "CEOs" of environmental awareness, driving change in their own space.

This project, part of the broader Zerowasters initiative, not only helps them to understand the theory but also to get involved practically in the development and implementation of sustainable solutions. It is their opportunity to leave their own "green footprint" on the world, while learning how to lead with environmental responsibility.
