The Zerowasters of the 2nd EPAL continue their successful course on the road of environmental awareness, by organizing another important experiential educational seminar. The seminar, entitled "Parents & Climate Change: The Role of the Family in Shaping a Green Culture", was held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Events Hall of the 2nd EPAL, and aimed to inform and raise awareness among parents about the crucial role they can play in developing ecological awareness.
The seminar hosted parents, teachers and other stakeholders, who had the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities and discuss the challenges and opportunities that climate change presents for the daily lives of their families. The main objective of this activity was to raise participants' awareness of the impact of climate change on their children and to empower them to integrate the concept of sustainability into their daily habits.
The event presented methods on how parents can pass on ecological values to their children, setting a positive example for the younger generation. Through open dialogue and collaborative activities, participants learned ways to reduce their environmental footprint by making conscious choices in their daily lives and promoting a green culture in their family environment.
This initiative highlights the value of the family as a key factor in combating climate change and raising ecological awareness. The role of parents is crucial in fostering values linked to sustainability, recycling and environmental protection.
This event is part of the broader context of the actions of the Zerowasters of the 2nd EPAL, who are constantly promoting environmental awareness and offering a positive example to the local community. Through these activities, a network of mutual support and education is created, which aims to raise awareness and action for a more sustainable future.
The organization of the "Parents & Climate Change" seminar was an important step towards raising awareness and action for the protection of the planet, empowering families and the education system to create a greener and more sustainable society.
