In the context of the programme zEROwASTERs and with the support of Eco Active, the students of the 2nd EPAL Komotini participated in an innovative survey on their travel to and from school. This survey, through a questionnaire, aims to collect data that will help improve the safety, sustainability and travel conditions of students.
The questionnaire included questions relating to:
- Duration and means of transport: How long it takes students to get to school and what means they use, especially in different weather conditions.
- Movement Safety: Whether students feel safe during their journey and what improvements they would like to see.
- Suggestions for Improvement: Ideas and proposals that could contribute to safer and greener transport.
- Family Vehicles: Record the number of vehicles each family owns and how these affect students' travel choices.
This action aims to raise students' awareness of ecological and safe travel practices, and is part of the broader framework of the following actions Zerowaste, which promotes sustainability and environmental protection. Students are actively involved, taking initiatives related to their daily habits and their responsibility towards the environment.
The completion of the research will lead to proposals for developing better solutions and practices around mobility and sustainability. The results will help raise community awareness and promote policies that enhance safety and ecological awareness.
