"Educational Visit to Sunlight Recycling in the framework of EcoWeek25 & ZeroWaste Hackers"

On 9 April 2025, as part of the multi-thematic week entitled "Environmental Awareness Week - Become a Zerowaster'" 40 students of the EPALs will visit the factory Sunlight Group / Recycling Plant in Komotini.

The visit will give students a unique opportunity to learn about the battery recycling process, the management of raw materials and the contribution of the circular economy to sustainability. At the same time, it will give high school students the opportunity to get in touch with future career options they may pursue in the growing green economy sector. The team of Sunlight Group/ Recycling Plant will present the innovative technologies it applies, promoting the environmental responsibility and energy efficiency.

Training young people in the green professions and the sustainable practices is the key to a better world. Through actions like this, students gain valuable knowledge and motivation to actively participate in shaping a better world. Zero Waste future.
