Erasmus+ Programme: Circular Economy - Local Challenges
Action Type KA 152-YOY - Mobility of Young People

The world is changing rapidly, and with it comes serious environmental challenges that affect our lives today and in the future. ΕWe we can make a difference!

By taking action and embracing green education, we can improve our quality of life and build a brighter future for everyone. The idea behind this project is simple yet powerful: let’s make sustainable living a part of our daily routine and promote a circular economy in our local communities. This means rethinking how we use resources, collaborating with others, and living more eco-friendly.

Our main goal? To engage, connect, and empower young people (that’s YOU) to lead the way in the circular economy and help fight climate change. You’ll learn how circular economy structures work and how to bring these ideas to life in your own community. Plus, you’ll get the chance to dive deep into topics like the climate crisis, renewable energy, and efficient resource use.

Imagine returning home with the knowledge and skills to organize similar projects and inspire your community to make greener choices. And you won’t be alone—this journey will bring together 51 participants from Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia, Turkey, Lithuania, and Italy, along with 5 partner organizations.

From June 24th to July 4th, 2023, in Komotini, Greece, you’ll be part of an exciting 7-day training course designed for young people (aged 18-30) who are passionate about ecology and eco-lifestyles. Whether you’re a newbie or already experienced, there’s a place for you here!

During this exchange, you’ll get:

  • A solid foundation in the concept of the circular economy
  • Tips on adopting eco-friendly habits
  • Resources and contacts to help you organize events on circular economy
  • Creative ideas for non-formal activities

You’ll also learn how to:

  • Reach out to your community
  • Set clear goals
  • Develop strategies and action plans
  • Motivate others and build a strong network
  • Launch and evaluate eco-campaigns

But that’s not all! You’ll visit local businesses, dine at small restaurants that support local producers, and see firsthand how eco-friendly practices work in the real world. By the end of the event, you’ll be ready to present your own project and spark change in your community using the skills you’ve gained.

Let’s make this summer in Komotini not just an unforgettable experience, but a stepping stone towards a sustainable future. Are you ready to lead the way?
