Discovering Sustainable Innovation: The Suthin Project in Komotini

From 12 to 19 June 2023, the programme Suthin brought together young people from seven countries in Komotini for an educational journey that combined tradition with modern innovation to create sustainable solutions for the future. The aim of the programme was to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to integrate traditional techniques into sustainable, modern practices.

Linking Tradition and Innovation for a Green Tomorrow

Participants had the opportunity to learn how traditional Roma techniques can be adapted to create ecological products and apply sustainable solutions in their daily lives. They also explored local innovations and visited small businesses that integrate traditional methods with modern, sustainable models.

Creating an Impact in the Community

Through this programme, young people gained the skills to impact their local communities by integrating sustainable solutions into their professional and personal activities. Their involvement in innovation was not limited to individual learning, but extended to upgrading their organisations and communities.

Creating a Sustainable Future

The Suthin created a strong network of participants who combined creativity with traditional techniques, positively impacting local communities and creating practices that support sustainability.

This study tour was not only a learning opportunity, but also a platform for future development, with the aim of empowering participants as leaders of sustainable innovation.

The project proved to be a powerful step towards a greener and more sustainable tomorrow!
