Why We Chose the Name "Eco Active"
The name "Eco Active" was thoughtfully chosen to fully reflect our mission and values.
"Eco" represents our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. At the core of our actions lies the promotion of ecological awareness and the circular economy. We aim to emphasize the importance of connecting with the environment and the necessity of living in harmony with nature by protecting natural resources and reducing our environmental footprint.
"Active" signifies our dynamic approach. It's not enough to simply possess knowledge or adopt a passive stance toward environmental challenges. We believe in active participation, action, and mobilization. Our goal is to encourage young people to become active citizens who promote sustainability principles in their daily lives and within their communities.
Together, "Eco Active" encapsulates the essence of our organization: being proactive and engaged for the good of the planet while supporting an ecological approach that can lead to meaningful change. Our Journey to Creating Koin.S.EP Eco Active
- The idea for creating KOINSEP Eco Active was born in 2018 when a group of us participated in a European youth exchange program through Erasmus+. That experience was pivotal, showing us the power these programs have to inspire and mobilize young people to become the protagonists of change.
- During the program, we saw how young people from different countries and cultures could connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas to solve common problems. This experience inspired us to bring this dynamic back to our community and create a space where education, innovation, and social action could contribute to building a more sustainable future.
- Erasmus+ is a European Union program that supports education, training, youth, and sports across Europe. Through initiatives like youth exchanges, Erasmus+ enables young people to acquire new skills, broaden their horizons, and become global citizens.
- Guided by this philosophy, we decided to create Eco Active with the aim of promoting sustainability and the circular economy through non-formal education and youth exchange programs. Our goal is to empower young people to take on leadership roles in environmental protection and become the creators of the change the world needs.
- Eco Active started with the vision of harnessing the power of education and international collaboration to positively impact the lives of young people and contribute to creating a sustainable future for all. The organization continuously evolves and adapts to meet the needs of our time. Through our programs, we hope to continue inspiring and supporting young people to make a difference in the world.
